DISPERLIG
Deflocculated and dispersed water
base drilling system. Use the lignosuphonate and lignite
in an initial ratio of 2:1. Lignosulphonates are organic
acids that neutralize salt’s cations. They need a basic
or alkaline pH(9.5 – 10.5) in order to be activated and
to reduce the yield point and gels. It is used in a wide
range of densities and temperatures close to 320oF.
This system because of its dispersing action also
disperse the clay from the well bore and clay content in
drill cuttings, causing holes enlargements or out of
gauge. This might produce poor primary cementing jobs.
In order to keep the appropriate
rheological values and not cause flocculation, large
volumes of dilution are needed, therefore, large volumes
of mud and cuttings need to be treated and disposed.

POLYROP
POLYROP is a water-based
polymeric biodegradable drilling fluid system. It
provides excellent rheological properties, designed to
withstand temperatures around 300°F., is a mixture of
polymers of colloidal particles, combined with an
improved formulation of glycol.
It has been used to drill large
sections of reactive clays and shales, where densities
are required by the order of 8.5 ppg (1.02 kg/mt3) to
11.0 ppg. (1.32 kg/mt3). It can also be used in
combination with salts of Na + and K + Potassium to
improve inhibition.

POLYROP M is the improved or modified POLYROP
system. This new system has thermal stabilizers,
filtration reducers, bore hole and shale stabilizer and
inhibitor to make, a versatile system that
works across a wide spectrum of densities and
temperatures. The POLYROP M resists temperatures above
300°F.
The POLYROP M is used to drill large clay sections and reactive and /or microfracture shales. It is also used
in the producing reservoir but before drilling into it,
the mud should be cleaned up by diluting with new mud or centrifuging
it to
reduce the particles that might cause formationg damage.

NUTRIFLUID System
NUTRIFLUID is a system developed to be used as drilling
fluid in areas of high clay content, and hydratable
shale. It is also used in formations with presence of
anhydrite and acid gases CO2 and H2S.
The free calcium in solution of this system between
800-1500 PPM gives highly inhibiting properties and
makes that the acid gases in the presence of a suitable
pH be converted to their corresponding salts and
precipitate out; eliminating the adverse reactions that
these gases cause in the traditional water base
drilling fluid systems.
The anhydrate being a calcium source will be compatible
with the NUTRIFLUID SYSTEM and will enhance it
performance.
The NUTRIFLUID can also be used for drilling the
producing reservoir. It is thermally stable up to 260 º
F (126oC), has viscoelastic properties, is biodegradable
and environmentally safe. The mechanism of inhibition is
by cations exchange substitution of sodium (Na +) by the
calcium ion (Ca + +) from the active site of the clay
particles.
Use of this water based non-dispersed highly inhibited
system is an alternative more economical and
environmentally safer than traditional water-based
inhibited systems.
Studies carry out at a nursery (greenhouse) and
comparing the NUTRIFLUID with a commercial fertilizer N,
P, K triple 15% have shown that this fluid can be
converted into fertilizer and its effect on crops of
corn, beans, sunflower and pepper is similar or better
than the one obtain from commercial fertilizer N, P, K,
triple 15%, the study concluded that the NUTRIFLUID
could be used as a replacement of NPK, triple 15 , but
real field test should be perform to prove or confirm
this results.
POLYINHIBIT, is the
main clay and hydratable shale inhibitor of the
NUTRIFLUID system. It is a cationic in nature and can be
used in other water base drilling systems but its
performance need to be evaluated for other system’s
filtrate reducers because of the high Calcium level
present in this product. The synergy between the
NUTRIFLUID’S filtrate reducers and the POLYINHIBIT is
unique.

POLYVIS
Polyvis is a viscoelastic polymeric system used in the
production zone with a source-based inhibition of glycol
and surfactants to stabilize and prevent the swelling
of clays present in the sand and allow compatibility
with the crude oil. It is ideal for drilling producing
sands especially in highly inclined and horizontal
wells. This system uses dolomite( magnesium calcium
carbonate) to create a protective cake in the
permeability of the producing sands.

GOS SALT
It is a drilling, completion and workover fluid, based
on saturated sodium and /or calcium chloride brines.
This system uses micronized salts of different sizes to
create bridging or an impermeable filter cake to
prevent fluid loss to the formation. A mixture of
glycol and surfactant is used to stabilize or prevent
the swelling of clays present in the production sand and
allow compatibility between the completion fluid and
production fluids.
This system is designed to prevent formation damage
specially when the invasion and the stability of the
formation are of primary concern.
Permeability returns obtained are excellent.

GOS PHPA
It is a drilling fluid that is composed of a high
molecular weight polymer of partially hydrolyzed
polyacrylamide (PHPA). This polymer acts as a
protective colloid and functions as well bore,
cuttings and shale stabilizer. The PHPA and
potassium salts inhibit the dispersion of formation
solids by adhering to certain sites in reactive clay
or shales. These systems are based on fluid
technology of non-dispersed low solids (LSND) in
troublesome shale and clay formations.
